Errors in Changing my Avatar

Anytime I been trying to change my avatar on here it's been giving me problems.
When I tried to upload form the computer I had an error that said The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

So I then tried up upload to Photobucket and just do it by URL however apperently my images keep getting reducded to a 64x64 size.

I thought it was saposed to be 100x100 size limit o_0

Here are the images I was using.
two 100x100 sizes (one a gif and one a jpg) and then an 80x80

it's always been 65x65, far as i know. at least, it has for a while.

as for the attachment thing, i think that attachments on this board are either full or have been disabled, because i've gotten that same error message trying to attach to a post.

Ya the one I had before... The anime dude in the yellow... is 80x80



And I checked a couple other board member's avatars and there are some over 65x65...

huh. well, maybe there's something in the code that does different resizing for different reasons. 15² pixels never really concerned me, personally.

Well only true reasson for concern for/to me is 'cus I made that at 100x100 and then resized it smaller for use here.
Becasue it apperently re-sized when I brought it in from another site, the pixels are all crammed together thus making the image not look as clear as I intended it to...
Only for the reasson that I did make this s why I felt to bring up this concern.

yeah, i understand how ya feel. i've had more than a couple avatars turned to looking like shit because of the constraints of the resizing on here.
